Aussie Broadband is delighted to announce it is boosting community cricket around Australia with $300,000 in grants through the Aussie Broadband Community Cricket Tech Fund, supported by Cricket Australia, with grant applications open now.
The fund will supply clubs with either 12 months of free fixed broadband connectivity (100/20 or 500/50), or 12 months of free 5G data SIM and a Samsung S11 ultra tablet. These are practical tech additions to help clubs with admin, tuck-shop, or other club activities.
“We’re delighted to be launching the Aussie Broadband Community Cricket Tech Fund in partnership with Cricket Australia which will benefit grassroots cricket clubs in various communities across the country,” said Aussie Broadband Group Chief Executive Officer Brian Maher. “Aussie Broadband’s roots are tied to regional Victoria, so we believe in giving back and supporting the communities in which we operate and those across our country.”
“This fund speaks to that belief, and we hope that through this contribution we can alleviate some of the tech burdens that clubs across our country have so that they can do what they do best: champion a love of cricket throughout their communities.”
“Having the best possible technology is essential for those running cricket across the country, from community to the elite levels,” said Cricket Australia Chief Commercial Officer Ed Sanders. “The Community Cricket Tech Fund will support volunteers and enable more community clubs to gain access to high-speed internet or new devices to improve their technology experience and efficiency.”
“We are thrilled to work with Aussie Broadband to deliver the fund, allowing clubs to upgrade their technology and enhance their cricket administration experience.”
Clubs can apply for the grant by filling out the form on the Aussie Broadband website. Applications will remain open until 5:00PM AEDT, February 11, 2026. To be eligible, clubs must be listed in the Cricket Australia database or provide additional verification.
